There was a lot of rust.
There really was a lot of rust.
This was odd, considering most of the groups belongings were meant to be indoors.
There was a small sinking feeling in the pit of TPK’s stomach. What was she going to do now? She was always away and gone from Neopia nowadays – they all were. So she lost most friends, most role-plays, and the sense of Neopia its self. She still had to do those art requests as well.
Yet, the more and more she convinced herself to leave, the more she wanted to come back – but then she might begin to vicious circle of being very active for a week, perhaps two, and then slowly going back into the deep depths of inactivity, as they called it here.
Her crew called it going AWOL, but strangely owners had different words than the pets themselves.
Humans were just weird in that way.
Tiayna tapped TPK very light on the shoulder. “ There’s loads of rust.”
“ You don’t say,” replied TPK. What else could she say? Sorry? Everyone was sick of apologies by now.
A pale blue four-eared creature rubbed the wallpaper, curling up her nose in nothing other than disgust. “ It’s wet, TPK. The walls are damp.”
The pale adolescent didn’t reply, just fiddled a bit with her nails.
“ Don’t chew them,” Tiayna said in the way a mother would to an annoying child.
“ I won’t, Ti. Just chill,” replied the girl.
There was a disbelieving snort in the background. Chill. Honestly.
The teenager edged towards the door and opened it.
There was a great big splash and a lot of screaming.
In a matter of seconds the entire group were up to their knees in water – murky brown water, the sort you saw of television shows about poverty in the Lost Desert. The four-eared creature screamed even louder, along with the teenager, two demonic looking creatures and a ball of fur curled up upon the adolescent’s shoulder, though the water didn’t reach it.
The human’s automatic reaction was to head for the stairs – until she remembered she hadn’t got any. Instead she headed to a room upon the right, pushing a button, which slid the doors open.
The water flooded into the small silver room, and descended to ankle length for most. The entire group clambered over to a strange cloud in the centre of the room, and clambered onto it – as if it weren’t gas but almost… solid.
The human opened her mouth as if to speak, before a tiny glowing figure, previously referred to as Tiayna, tapped the human once more and pointed upwards.
“ Um, TPK?”
The room was like a large silver shaft, like an elevator, or lift as the British said, but the ceiling was quite evidently not there.
TPK’s mouth dropped even further, and did, if possible, look even more upset.

" It could be the police," suggested Dmiev, breaking the uneasy and confused silence.
" Yes, but Dmiev, the police wouldn't kidnap TPK, they'd just arrest you. And anyway, didn't Feu give them that anonymous tipoff that you were hiding in Tyrannia?" pointed out Sai. Feu smirked, looking very pleased with herself.
" I think there are many places where Otemba has enemies!" I said suddenly, making most heads turn. I didn't talk very much, I was aware of that.
" She's probably right, actually," said Mi softly. Nobody disagreed.
Aiyako didn't say a word, but I noticed she began to examine her nails a little too often to be natural.
The group sat in silence.
There suddenly there was a loud shout and a familier voice yelling, " Can't find 'em anywhere, dudes! No ship, nothing! They must be way out somewhere in the south or something!"
Tiayna sighed, knowing quite well how Ellic couldn't go out into warm waters. " Alright, cheers anyway Ellic."
" Right, that's it, we're SCREWED!" wailed Sai.
" I do hope they are all right," said Mi in worry.
" But where could the captain be where Ellic couldn't find?" said Kori, mystified.
Captain's Log
Me and my crew seem to be stranded upon some island. Threepwood and Oi are currently missing. I am compiling this log after interviews with the crew, as I was not present at some of the various events.
Quicklock and Lock woke up nearby eachother, in shock. All they could see was dense jungle and sand.. though they didn't remember what had happened - just a loud crash. Just what was happening? This definately wasn't an inhabited island. Everything seemed far too.. wild.
Me? Well, I was unconcious. There was shiny, sapphire blue dagger lodged in my shoulder. My sword was no longer at my belt, and neither was my hat or coat present.
The usul looked at the captain slowly, tilting her head to the side - while Lock decided that he had little choice. Running over to his captain's side, he dislodged the weapon from his shoulder, and quickly attempted to put it in a splint. The usul though was more interested in finding out just where they were.
Well, I think since I'm bored I will reocrd down the family's relationships. in family, that is.
So, first will be the person's name, in bold and underlined, and then will be each member's name and next to it their relationship from the POV of the underlined character.

TPK is gone. She has disappeared. Bam. Boom. Zilch. Nil. Nowhere.
We are all so SCREWED.
Oh my goodness.
Miss Libra has been crying all day. I can’t make her stop – after all, I’m a bodyguard, not a babysitter. Miss TPK has vanished, we can’t find her anywhere. She wouldn’t just leave completely without telling us.
It all happened yesterday morning. I mean, TPK usually has a lie in and Miss Kori (since morning’s are so ‘in’ at the moment) was meant to be looking after Libra. She was late coming in, so, as usual, it was ME who had to unlock the crib and give Libra a ride downstairs. You have absolutely no idea quite how fiddly it is to use only one single clawed finger to open a locked crib. Nightmare.
It’s at times like those I wish I wasn’t a Meowclops, despite keeping my identity sealed or otherwise.
So Miss Kori finally came in from her morning jog. We had breakfast, played with Miss
Libra, and everything was as normal until it came to be about twelve o’clock. Midday, most definitely.
Now by this time none of use had seen Miss TPK and even though she likes to lie-in on Saturdays we all know even SHE can’t sleep until noon. So Miss Sai, with about as much tact in the world as that cursed Faellie, stormed upstairs to wake Miss TPK up.
I remember at the time Miss Tiayna must have been feeding Miss Libra because suddenly a loud noise like a police siren went off and Miss Tiayna jumped so violently she got all of the yoghurt flavoured baby food she was trying (in vain) to coax into Miss Libra’s mouth in her hair.
We all recognised the sound. It was the emergency alarm system on our floating lift. Designed by Miss Tiayna of coarse, like the lift and most other magical machinery in our abode. I don’t understand how it works or anything, all I know is that it ca be activated if the lift doesn’t work or somebody falls off. We all rushed towards the sound, since there were two lifts in our house.
It was Miss Sai. She wasn’t in trouble, just frantically swimming downwards towards us. When the emergency siren is activated the entire lift develops antigravity, at the right concentration so you can control your direction and move as though you were swimming. Quite clever… for a dark faerie.
Miss Sai caught her breath when at the bottom of the shaft, before panting, “ TP – K’s – go –ne!”
Mass panic. Mass hysteria.
All of us that were in the house tore the place to shreds looking for TPK. Well, all except Miss Otemba and Méchant, no surprises there. Mr Ellic went out to sea to have a search and contact Captain Olamac, who admittedly is the strongest in our posse.
Well, when I say strongest I mean the one who doesn’t have any boundaries that confines him to a lesser amount of power.
Miss Kori rushed off to Neopia Central, but returned quickly afterwards, her efforts fruitless. There is absolutely no way on this planet that Miss TPK would have strayed from Neopia Central without telling us first and going with one of us, but Miss Tiayna tried to contact her telepathically as well.
Nothing.
Miss Kougra Lily flew over to Meridell and picked up Mr Dmiev and Miss Feu. They returned soon after. It seemed like somebody very lenient lent them trio a couple of fine Meridellian Unis… * snort *
All of us, minus the korbat, the faellie, the Captain, his petpet, Mr Ellic and Miss Dory retreated to the living room to discuss subjects. There was no doubt in any of our minds that there was only one way Miss TPK could have been taken, and that was by force.
“ It was Maelstra!” accused Miss Tiayna immediately. “ It has GOT to be! Who else holds a direct grudge against TPK and me?! Who else has the power to whisk TPK away without a trace?! Who else could get past my magical defences?!” Miss Tiayna growled and gritted her teeth, upset that someone got past her burglary alarm system.
“ I think it’s Sloth!” shrieked Miss Sai. “ He is definitely clever enough! Plus now we’ve got TWO of his former minions and –“
“ Vat?!” shrieked Miss Aiyako in her French accent. “ ‘Ow can zoo zay zat? Our former master waz a kind ol’ man ‘oo –“
“ Kind old man?!” yelled Miss Sai, her eyes almost popping out of her head. “ He was an evil, dictator, pure and sim –“
“ ‘E paid oos!”
“ Paid us? He almost killed us, the son of a –“
“ Alright Sai, ALRIGHT!” said Miss Mi, who looked extremely shaken over the whole issue. “ Now is not the time!” She glanced at Aiyako. “ We’ll add him, just in case, okay, Aiyako?”
Miss Aiyako grudgingly nodded.
For those who are not familiar with Aiyako and Sai’s story, all I know is that they are ‘twins’, who escaped from Sloth’s empire, and they are COMPLETE opposites. Sai is a messy, Ai is vain. Sai is daring, Ai is careful. Sai is a tomboy, Ai is feminine. Sai is a day creature, Ai is naturally nocturnal. The list is endless, it really is, but I am not here to tell you that story.
“ Asylum agrees with me, don’t you, Asylum?” said Sai confidently.
Asylum replied that he did, but in petpet speak, so non of the Neopets understood what he was saying. It must have sounded like yaps to them.
“ You see?!” said Sai triumphantly.
The rest of the Neopets stared.
“ What, you guys don’t here that?” said Sai, dubious.
The Neopets shook their heads.
“ Open your mind, man!” muttered Sai moodily.

Eventually, yes, I knew they would come and find me. They aren't a paticularly bright bunch, but either way, I didn't leave a particularly hard trail to follow.

Our dear Chelestria has gone mad.
It's awful. She hovered around this morning, repeating these random numbers, and murmuring about her masters. She has no masters, though. None that we know of. She just circles and murmurs. Her eyes no longer have those tiny digits running through them. They are black, hollow and endless. She crashed into objects at times, but is not concious that she does so. The dining room is out of bounds - she's been there for days, swirling and murmuring in a state of unconciousness.
She is like a ghost, cold and lifeless, and unaware of her surrounds and who is around her and what she is doing.
I'm a little frightened, to be honest. I hope she can be repaired. Just like we predicted, her data banks couldn't handle the fact that her friend went missing. Her friend, An, rushed off someone after breaking up with her boyfriend. Big emotional shocks like a friend missing, or a death, makes her data base go HAYWIRE. It can't take the stress. She goes into states like this for a while, but never as long as this has happened before.
I'm awfully worried.

Oh Fyora. I THINK I'm being stalked.
I hate being paranoid. It's so.. ew. It shows you are unconfident and basically weak... but what can I say? Everywhere I go there's this nagging feeling in the back of my mind that I'm being watched. It's weird, I'm really confused. Confused is so not cool as well.
Okay, well, take a few days ago. I was at the mall (obviously). TPK was with me, but SHE had disappeared off to some gaming store. She's obssessed, I say. She practically melts into a pool of sticky goo every time the words 'Sam Fisher' are said. She really needs to get that Splinter Cell game soon. Okay, so Sam Fisher IS alright for VIRTUAL HUMAN... but never as cute as say, Xavier. *dies*
By the way, the only reason I know the name is because TPK goes on about it non stop.

I have SO not looked into that game.

Okay, so TPK was drooling min the game store so I was of coarse in the shoe shop. I was just looking over these gorgeous pair of black stilettos - OBVIOUSLY I was SO not gonna wear 'em NOW, but for the winter, and they were such a bargain, half price as well! Anyway, I was just looking them over, and there was this HUGE crash behind me. I swung around and one of these shelves of shoes were all over the floor, nobody in sight!
Loads of these really weird, unexplainable things keep happening.

Why is she back?
Poor Sai. She's been like this for weeks now. None of us ever thought she's be so overcome with shock. TPK has been really tired as well, having to care for Sai all the time. Fyora, nobody would have thought the shock would have effected Sai quite so much as it has. I mean, she's so tough and everything. It's completely out of character.
It all started a few weeks ago. It was a dull evening, as far as my memory banks can remember. I think the family had just finished dinner.
I'm to lazy to wwrite stories at the moment, to be honest. >_>; So here are my pets' ages. They are numbers, just like, periods, if you get what I mean...
Kori: She is in her late teens, around 16, 17 or 18. This mostly because of her shopping sprees, boy-craze-ness, 'job' and her freedom that most early teens do not have. however, she would go to school, if there was any school for her to go to, soo.. her education would be around sixth form, or high school as Americans call it.
Olamac: Young adult, between 25 and 30. He would be out of education yet not over thrity. He acts more mature than he really is, but this period of life really suits him because his life is not stable, unlike someone who is around 30, in my opinion. I hope you understand what I mean.
Sai: Teenager. She has too much freedom to be an early teen or child, and I suppose would be in secondary school or as Americans call it, Middle School. However, she can act very immature. T_T;
Libra: Definately toddler or VERY young child. Around three or four years old. She can speak and walk and things but is very young.
Mi: Early twenties. She is very mature and sane. Her boyfriend has rubbed off on her. XD
Ellic: In reality, he is hundreds of years old, which makes him so wise. However, he is immortal and is actually around late twenties. He's immortal and stuck being late twenties for ever. Poor ol' Ellic.
Otemba: Late teens-ish. Around Sai's age, maybe a little older. She's very sadistic so she's quite mature.
Dmiev: Young adult, around The Cap'n's age.
Chelestria: Young teen.
Aiyako: Same as Sai.

Today, Ellic's petpet came into existance! Dory the Screal now exists! :D I got it for quite a bargain as well - 100k, saving about 15k. The acception came pretty quickly as well. *parties*
I really need to write something, so I think I shall do petpet descriptions. All petpets are in quad/neopet form.

Appearance: Faerie kadoatie, however, she has orange fur, fiery orange stripes and flaming antennae.

History: Born in a volcano, rescued by what she says was cupid, and vowed to match-make and spy on 'love-to-bes' ever since. Adopted by Kori when Kori was young because they had so much in common. Was being sold cheap because fauna chattered too much. xD

I think it was very nice of Dmiev and Feu to get me a petpet, but Feu doesn’t seem to get on very well with her sister. They are always avoiding each other. I don’t know why.
It was a lovely surprise, though. I wasn’t expecting it. Dmiev came home with this great big crate. TPK, who scampered out to see them, frowned slightly, and said, “ Is it safe for it to be kept in there? Can it breathe?”
Feu snorted nastily. “ She deserves not too.”
I was hovering in the lounge, where we were all sitting. Kori was doing up her hair, Sai was playing with Libra as was I, but TPK seemed very giddy about something and rushed out. We all followed and waited at the doorway – after all, curiosity never killed the Kougra.
Dmiev was unpicking this huge long chain upon this wooden crate that seemed to be from Meridell market.
It’s weird, because I’ve never been to Meridell market before, but I didn’t think that Devilpusses lived there.
I wonder how she got there?
Agua is very pretty. She's a pretty blue with these tiny little droplets all over her that sparkle like sapphires dotted all over her. She's much, much, MUCH more prettier than me. Then again, how can holograms be pretty?
Feu doesn't like her very much though.
According to my databanks, in Spanish (a language TPK programmed into me) Feu means fire, and Agua means water.
Also, my databanks detect traces of guilt radiating for Agua when about the precense of Feu.
I wonder...
Tria is very nice. She’s kind of weird though, but I’ll grow used to her.
Feu isn’t very happy though. I don’t blame her.

Senorita TPK had been very specific about what we were to get with the neopoints she had given us. A petpet. A drink if needed. Perhaps a snack.
So, naturally, we bought a bottle of water, pair of earrings for Senorita Kori, loaf of bread, new book for Senorita Sai and a plushie for Libra. Not to mention the order for the satin cushions, matches and sword sharpener for ourselves. We decided if was best if we got Senorita TPK something as well, so we bought a mop.
By the time we had got all of these things, we were getting skint. With only 20,000 NPs left, we hurriedly went to the petpet section of the market, before any more bargains enticed my petpet, Feu and me. Honestly, they must all be hypnotists or something – we didn’t spend half of Senorita TPK’s money on gifts under those strict rules.
We glanced at the cages carefully. Tria was not the type for a Babyca, a Drackobunny or a Niptor. After a while, the warmth of Feu’s flames disappeared. I spun around, and noticed the Angelpuss approaching a cage with a very satisfied smirk upon her face.
“ Well… look what the Kougra dragged in,” she said in a curt voice.
I went over to her, and peered into the cage. It was a strangely coloured devilpuss - blue, and it had a fin tail that could be used to propel the devilpuss along in the water. The devilpusses ocean green eyes widened.
" Feu! What the Jhudora?! Can you get me out?!" she yelped, evidently knowing my petpet.
Feu tutted and shook her head. " 'Fraid I can't do that, Agua." Agua, she called her. Agua means water in Spanish. I looked at my firey angelpuss, with her name meaning fire in Spanish, and got a strange feeling in the pit of my stomach.
" Feu.. do you know her?" I asked, gesturing towards Agua.
Feu snorted and laughed bitterly. " Oh, do I. Dmiev, meet my sister, Agua."
I had had a feeling she was going to say that.
Agua stared at me, and suddenly started to plead. " Please, please, please Mr Dmiev, sir, Senor, please get me out of here! Oh, por favor, por favor! I'll be as good as gold! I'll do all your housework! I'll cook! I can swim! Oh please please, oh por favor.."
She continued as Feu scowled and looked at me. " She's more trouble than she's worth. I'm surprised her middle name isn't Jinx, she's such bad luck.."
" Is she 'evil'?"
" Well.. no," admitted Feu. " But she's so stupid at times! She always gets caught! We can't take her in with the job and all!"
I paused. " Not us.. but Senorita Tria.."
" Tria?" Feu's eyes bulged out of her head. She glanced at Agua, babbling on about how she was brilliant at washing up. " Well.. I dunno. She's kind of dopey. She wouldn't be good for Tria's protection. She'd be worse."
" Tria doesn't exactly NEED protection," I pointed out.
" But.. but.." said Feu, thinking up another excuse.
I gave her an odd look. " Have you got something against your sister or something? A quarrel? Can't you get over it?"
Feu sighed. " It's a little more serious than a mere quarrell, Dmiev."
I stared at her. " What do you..."
Feu shook her head.
I sighed. I honestly do not know much about my angelpusses past. I just broke her out of jail one day and we formed an alliance.
Feu stared at the cage. She swallowed as Agua started talking about vacuums.
" Tell her the terms, Dmiev."

When on our daily visits to the Island Mystics - so TPK can get the avvie - we really don't pay much attention, because we usually do not loose something valuable at the Wishing Well, or find a blue plushie at the Top of Terror Mountain. However, when he told us the next time we looking in the mirror one of us would look difference, Mi started thinking.
And so, next morning at breakfast, I was the only one who wasn't surprised that Mi looked a bit different.
Her mail and tail are now brown, and on the end of each strand is a small bead, each a bright, different colour. Also, she had a kougra lily behind her ear, like me. ^_^;
Kori dropped her glass. TPK, who had recovered from shock, tutted and picked up the shards of glass, before smiling at Mi and saying, " You look lovely, Mi!"
" Thank you TPK," said Mi, smiling.
" Hot new look, Mi!" said Kori, grinning and winking, though you could tell that she herself hadn't got her paws on Mi first. " De's gonna love it!"
Mi blushed.
I think she'd had her 'Darling Demique' in mind all along. XDDD

Neopet/Quad Appearance: A small mutant korbat.
Anthro/Humanoid Appearance: Murky green fur, long shoulder length black hair, often wears dark clothing, which is usually a hooded foot length cloak.
Personality: Mean, selfish, mysterious, anti-social, cynical, intelligent, mocking.
Eye Colour: Red.
History: Uggna met Méchant once when the family were in the Haunted Woods, seeming to have met her before. Méchant led them to her Neopet, sensing that they could help. Otemba was unconscious and badly beaten, so in came TPK to the… er… ‘rescue’, shall we say.

Appearance: Never goes on four paws. Shadow coat with red stripes, and he always wears a forest green tunic, black cape, red hat with yellow feather and brown boots.
Personality: Flirt, charming, handsome, sly, clever.
Eye Colour: Green.
History: On Mi’s little visits to Meridell, she and Ginni were helplessly lost in the forest. They stumbled upon a hollow tree and rested there for the night. Dmiev then provided food and warmth for them. To repay the favour, they helped him escape from the Meridellian army, and when he needed a place to stay, Mi offered for him to join TPK’s crew.

Personality: Sweet, low self-esteem, happy, sort of shy, doesn’t believe people will accept her for who she is.
Eye Colour: Black with green digits running through them.
History: The story is actually in this LJ – shock horror! She was once part of Neoquest II, sent by the ghosts of Shadow Gulch to find a cure, or facts, about the unknown ‘illness’ that made Count Von Roo ‘happy’. She took the teleporter out of the Mines but something went wrong and she ended up as a hologram in TPK’s living room.
